The Mont d’Or Swartberg Hotel is a charming four star Victorian hotel, situated in the heart of our quaint Karoo village, Prince Albert. Established as a hotel in 1864, the Swartberg is now one of 19 national monuments in the village and is still the only hotel in Prince Albert today.

Prince Albert is easily accessed from the N1 and is the perfect stopover if you are travelling between Cape Town and the interior of South Africa. GENERAL:
• Luxury Rooms & Double/ Twin Standard Rooms: Maximum occupancy of 2 Adults or 1 Adult & 1 Child allowed.
• Single Standard Rooms: Maximum occupancy of 1 Adult allowed.
• Garden Cottages: Maximum occupancy of 4 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children (2 bedrooms) allowed.
• Mont d’Or Swartberg Hotel shall not be held responsible for any damage to or loss of any property whether belonging to the client or any of the guests.
• All guests will be required to settle their accounts for extras such as beverages, lunch & dinner, etc. on departure. This can be done by credit card or local currency notes.
• Insurance: We recommend that all guests have sufficient travel insurance to cover injury, medical costs, emergency evacuation, repatriation, loss or damage to personal belongings and cancellation.
• To be dressed properly during breakfast service – no pajamas, gowns and slippers
• No visitors after 22:00 – you will be charged extra
• We reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises for bad behaviour
• No noise after 22:00
• No pets allowed.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
• 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total
• 15 - 30 days to arrival date – 25% cancellation fee of the full booking amount will be charged.
• We require a 50% deposit payment to confirm and secure the booking, the outstanding balance will be due 30 days prior to arrival date as per above cancellation policy.
CHILD POLICY:
• Children of all ages are welcome at Mont d’Or Swartberg Hotel.
• 1 Child sharing with 1 adult per room allowed in the Standard Rooms or Luxury Rooms.
