The Baobab

The Baobab is a safe and relaxing hideaway in the heart of Midrand between Johannesburg and Pretoria . Whether you are on business or just a quick getaway, The Baobab guarantees a quite restful experience. We are well positioned for shopping or eating out. We are close to the Mall of Africa, opposite the Kyalami International Racing Circuit, the Kyalami Business Park, the Theatre on the Track. We are close to OR Tambo and Lanseria Airports, we are right where the action is.

The Baobab is renowned for our great breakfasts, warmhearted hospitality, friendly staff and variety of comfortable accommodation. This includes 2 luxury suites, each with its own personality. WiFi is included to allow you to continue with your business or chat to your loved ones at home.

Each suite is equipped with a Tea andoffee Station and a Small Bar Fridge, microwave and kettle, air conditioner and an invitation to relax.

Accommodation at The Baobab:
The Pool and View suite is extremely private with its own entrance and overlooks the huge and welcoming pool. The private bedroom has a king size comfortable bed, or if requested, 2 single beds. The air conditioned lounge area consists of 2 comfortable chairs and a couch to lie down, relax and watch the full bouquet of DSTV. Send a note to your loved ones at home using the strong WiFi signal at the desk. The refreshment station offers a variety of teas, coffee, a rusk and a complimentary glass or two of South Africa`s finest sherry. There is a microwave and a small fridge to keep your drinks cold and your food fresh. Relax in the huge bath filled with bath salts in the en suite bathroom, or take a shower for a quick start to the day. Relax on the covered patio after a days travel filled with work and shopping with a glass of wine overlooking the pool or even make yourself a braai.

The Gym and View suite is the honeymoon suite with a large air conditioned bedroom. Relax in the king size bed and watch your favourite movies on the full bouquet on DSTV. Sip on a refreshing cup of coffee or a variety of teas and a rusk after a long day of travelling. Move into the lounge area and select a book from the library to pass those hours away. Keep fit and energised in the gym area to get rid of some of those aches and pains then sit on the massage recliner to complete the job. Enjoy a braai on the patio whilst you take in the wonderful view of the incredible sky and feel free to use the telescope to see more. The huge en suite bathroom allows you to enjoy a bubble bath in the oversized tub. The large shower offers you an alternative with a his and hers basin.
