Tofo Beach Accommodation consist of 3 lovely well equipped self-catering cottages. Casa Derika in the front row of houses on the beach in Tofo sleep max 6 people. Casa Isabel in Tofinho, sleep max 6 and has 2 lovely verandas overlooking the ocean, 50 m in front of the house. Casa Christine in Tofinho, is 80 m away from the famous surfing spot and sleep max 8 people.
The cottages offer basic accommodation, are fully equipped for self catering and daily serviced. All the houses have an outside braai.
Tofo is 550 km North from Maputo (about 7- 8 hours drive) and is reachable with a normal car. Our friendly workers, Raule and Pedru, see to the well-being of our guests and that all their requirements are attended too. Our Reception is at Casa Isabel where you collect the keys.
Accommodation at Tofo Beach Accommodation:
Each of the respective cottages is uniquely styled and offers a rustic and home-like atmosphere, where you can “relax and do your own thing”.
All the cottages have electricity, warm water, a fridge and separate freezer and cooking facilities. The cottages are equipped for self catering and have cutlery, crockery, furnishing, bedding and mosquito nets - nothing extravagant.
Unfortunately, no television or aircon, but all the houses have ceiling fans. The houses have an outside braai, a safe for your valuables and standard SA plug points.
The 3 cottages share a group of 2 cleaners (cum butlers) whos job it is to make your stay as memorable as possible, e.g. makes the beds, does the dishes, sweeps the floors, assists you in negotiating the best buy of fresh fish, prawns, calamari and crayfish from the beach and also clean the fish. His wages are included in your daily fee.
The only task they are not allowed to do is washing and ironing of clothes, for which they can assist in finding you someone who could do that at a modest fee.
The cottages are also serviced by a group of guards, whose job it is to keep a watchful eye during night-time and to ensure that your privacy is not compromised. Guards are normally on duty between 22:00 and 06:00.
The sea, swimming, fishing, diving, snorkling, kayaking, surfing, whale watching, bird watching, horse riding and much more.
From Maputo, follow the signs to Xai Xai (EN1).
We recommend that you fill up your vehicle at Xai Xai and continue north.
At Lindela the road splits, turn right on the Inhambane road.
Drive through the city of Inhambane and follow the signboards to Tofo.
Continue with this road for approximately 15 minutes until you reach Bar Babalaza on your right hand side.
Turn to the right to Tofo.
About 6 kms, just before entering Tofo, at the TOFO BEACH ACCOMMODATION signboard, turn to the right and continue on the dirt road, following the signboards up to casa Isabel, where our Reception is located. The keys will be there.
Children welcome. Kindly note casa Isabel has an open stair case to the second floor, not recommended for families with small children.
