Under Milk Wood, on the shores of the famous Knysna Lagoon, lies a village of timber log chalets amongst majestic Milkwood trees.

The tranquil resort offers guests a haven of leisure and comfort, wonderful views of the lagoon and the Outeniqua Mountains in the background.

Under Milk Wood offers luxury timber log chalets on the shores of the Knysna lagoon and luxury Mediterranean style rooms.

Our beachfront offers an ideal setting for sunbathing and swimming. Sunloungers, umbrellas and canoes are available to our guests.

Hiking trails, birdwatching and fishing can all be enjoyed close by, as well as all the other attractions offered in Knysna.

Accommodation at Under Milk Wood:
Waterfront chalets - situated above the beachfront (about 5 meters back from the beach area).

Hillside chalets - situated amongst the Milkwood trees along the slope (about 50 meters back from the beach area) overlooking the resort.

Middle chalets - nestled between the waterfront and hillside chalets (10 to 20 meters back from the beach area).

All the chalets consist of two bedrooms with a queen bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom.

The chalets have fully equipped kitchens with all modern conveniences such as a microwave oven, fridge/freezer and stove/oven. The open plan lounge has a television with 4 local channels as well as MNET, Movie Magic, Supersport and Disney Channel/Animal Planet. Most chalets had one bathroom with a bath/shower & shower in the main bedroom.

Each chalet has its own sundeck and BBQ facilities. The chalets are serviced daily. Bed linen and bath towels are provided (guests to bring their own beach towels). We offer secure parking (only 1 parking bay per chalet) and on site security. Each chalet has its own mini safe and a telephone in the main bedroom.

Our beachfront offers an ideal setting for sunbathing and swimming. Sun loungers, umbrellas and canoes are available to our guests at no extra cost.
