Nestled in the heart of the Winelands, Val du Charron Wine and Leisure Coast House (VDC) is a tranquil escape on a working vineyard, just 10 minutes from Wellington and less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town. VDC offers 5-star accommodations, two inviting restaurants, and a slice of South African winemaking culture. The 42-hectare estate boasts vineyards, olive groves, and a 400-ton cellar producing exquisite wines.
The Coach House features 3 luxurious suites. The Presidential Suite, fitted with a King Size bed and the 2 Luxury Suites fitted with Queen Beds. Each room has en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, a private patio with splash pool and stunning views of vineyards and the Hawekwa Mountains. A delicious breakfast with à la carte options is included.
For adventure, you can explore the Wild Boar Trails by hiking or biking, starting from Pizza Vista. If the trails aren’t for you, grab a book and a glass of something cold and relax next to our pool. Dive in and cool down on those hot summer days.

We also offer guided walks between the valley's historic farms - and, for the more adventurous, access to the famous Bainskloof mountain bike trails (home to the Cape Epic).
For those more interested in olives, enjoy a tour of the olive grove rounded off with an olive tasting at the gazebo on our dam. The dam is also a great place to fish for bass.
