The picturesque Watermill, which was built in the 19th century has been renovated into two separate rooms (The Mill and the Mill room) with incredible views of the dams, mountains and forests. The Country House is decorated in a classic country style and offers five comfortable double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms, access to the veranda and magnificent views over the valley and mountains. The Country House is self-catering and accommodates a maximum of 10 people. The Tented Chalets are for our more adventurous guests. Experience all nature has to offer, in comfortable tented accommodation. Each Tented Chalet is fitted with an en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and seating deck with stunning views of the hills, dams and valley. Encounter the countryside from our Nature Log Cabins. These cabins are hidden within an indigenous forest and allow guests a secluded space to enjoy the tranquillity of nature. These one-bedroom cabins accommodate two people with a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom fitted with a lovely tub and shower and a separate toilet. The closed combustion wood fireplace in the lounge area of the cabin creates an intimate atmosphere perfect for couples.

Near the towns of Dullstroom and Belfast, the estate is well situated on the primary tourist routes from Johannesburg and Pretoria to the eastern escarpment and Lowveld regions of Mpumalanga, South Africa. A mere 2-hour drive from Johannesburg/Pretoria, with a variety of birds, indigenous tree species and wildlife species, Valley of the Rainbow offers its guests a spectacular diversity of fauna and flora.
Guests can participate in organized outdoor activities, including fly-fishing the river and lakes for the elusive rainbow and brown trout. Non-fishing guests will appreciate the tranquillity and natural beauty of the setting.
The mountains invite guests to go wandering along the walking trails on which one can expect to find a variety of small game including Grey duiker, Steenbuck, Grey reebok and vervet monkey, over 200 species of birds, and an abundance of wildflowers and plants.
Visitors will experience the peace and tranquillity of the venue, prolific birdlife including 5 kingfisher species, the fish eagle and endangered blue crane, variety of game including buck, vevet monkey, bush pig, cerval cat and the clawless otter.
Adventure activities include Fly Fishing in river and lakes, Hiking and Birding trails, Night walks, Horse riding on mountain trails, Mountain biking trails, Abseiling and overnight camping in mountains. Enjoy 4x4, motorcycle and mountain bike outrides on country roads

5 Bedrooms with ensuite Bathrooms. Meals can be taken at Manor House at extra costs. Open plan lounge, dining room and TV room and fully equipped kitchen, the Country House is self-catering and is ideally suited for families
The Honeymoon Tented Chalet accommodation sleeps 2 persons in a cosy double bed with an en-suite bathroom. With a kitchenette and braai facility, the chalet is fully equipped for self-catering.
The Mill Room is a spacious room with a lounge area, a King size bed, DSTV, bar fridge, wine cooler, fireplace and en suite bathroom (shower only). This unit has NO self-catering facilities.
The private one-bedroom cabin accommodates two persons with a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom fitted with a lovely tub and shower and a separate private toilet. The kitchen area includes a bar fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery.
The Mill is a spacious room with a lounge area, a Queen size bed, DSTV, bar fridge, wine cooler, fireplace and ensuite bathroom (shower and bath). This unit has NO self-catering facilities.

- Cancellations made within 5 days prior to arrival: 100% cancellation fees

Option through Middelburg (shorter route but more traffic) • Take the N4/N12 to Middelburg • Take the Middelburg exit (second exit past the Toll gate) • Keep straight and at robot turn Right in Cowen Ntuli street • At robot turn Left in Meyer street and follow the R44 for 70 km • At the Engen garage on your right turn Right on the Roossenekal/Steelpoort/Burgersfort tarred road • Drive about 4km over the hill and turn right at the Laersdrift Police Station towards Dullstroom. • Drive on the gravel road for 12km until you see our large sign, that is where you turn to the right onto our property.
Option through Belfast (less traffic but be aware of pot holes after rain season) • Take the N12/N4 towards Belfast • Take the exit toward R33 • In Belfast you will get the KFC and a Shell garage, turn left here onto Duggen Street. Drive to the end of this street and turn right on the T-junction (Lizana Magagula Street). • Keep going straight on this road for about 30km (your GPS will most likely tell you to turn right on the Witpoort road, please keep in mind that this road is suitable for high clearance vehicles. We recommend you to ignore your GPS here). • At the end of the road you will have the mill left and the silos on your right, turn right here and continue until you have the Engen garage on your right side. Turn right towards Steelpoort/Burgersfort. • Drive about 4km over the hill and turn right at the Laersdrift Police Station towards Dullstroom. • Drive on the gravel road for 12km until you see our large sign, that is where you turn to the right onto our property. Note the following advice
• Be advised that if you decide to take the gravel road from Dullstroom to Valley of the Rainbow we recommend a high clearance vehicle due to the poor condition of the road
