Our private walking trail winds through the indigenous forest and along the Silver River, affording you the opportunity to encounter birds like the brilliantly coloured Knysna Loerie, or one of the five kingfisher species, the red billed wood hoopoe, Knysna woodpecker, paradise flycatcher or lesser double-collared sunbird. You may also take a refreshing swim in the river’s natural pools.
Facilities on site include a swimming pool, tennis court and private walking trail through the forest that meander along the banks of the Silver River.

Take a scenic 15 km drive to George through indigenous forest via the Seven Passes Road (1 km) or visit the breathtaking Map of Africa viewpoint (3 km). Spend a day surfing, fishing, walking or picnicking at Wilderness Beach (5 km). Visit Dolphin Point viewpoint (6 km) or Wilderness National Park (6 km) with its lakes and wealth of water birds. Visit Woodville’s 800 year old big Yellow Wood tree (10 km).
Walking shoes, a hat and sunscreen if you want to do the 30 minute trail to the river.
The winter climate is splendid with sunshine days and temperatures that rarely drop below 8º C.

- If cancelled or modified 15 to 29 days prior to date of arrival, 35 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- If cancelled or modified 8 to 14 days prior to date of arrival, 50 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- If cancelled or modified within 7 days of date of arrival, 100 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
From N2 (George to Knysna) take Wilderness turn off (left at George Road). Look for the SPAR flags. First road left again (Beacon Road). Park in front of SPAR. Walk into Milkwood Village - Royal Siam Thai Restaurant to the right.
