The Drakensberg:
KwaZulu-Natal contains the most extensive section of the famous Drakensberg Mountains. They are also known as uKuhlamba or barrier of spears in Zulu.
Most of the KwaZulu-Natal section of the Drakensberg is a world heritage site due to the specific fauna and flora only found in this mountain range and the largest repository of rock art in the world. Because these mountains contain some 30,000 examples of the famous San or Bushman.
It is certainly worth visiting Main Cave at the Giants Castle Camp to marvel at the work of these artists.
The Drakensberg has the second-highest waterfall in the world. It is known as the Thukela Fall. Found in the Amphitheatre of the Royal Natal section of the Northern Drakensberg.
The Drakensberg is undoubtedly one of the world’s best examples of an erosional mountain.
