Xanatseni Private Camp

Xanatseni Private Camp is located within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve which is one of the largest privately owned nature reserves in South Africa. The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is part of the greater Kruger National Park. The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is involved in the full spectrum of Nature Conservation. Our rangers spend their lives in the bush and will offer you amazing insight and information on the plants and animals. On game drives you are able to get a lot closer to the big game. The animals are normally habituated to the vehicle.

Recently upgraded, Xanatseni Private Camp is a thatched, full-board camp which provides absolute comfort while retaining the charm and ambiance of a bygone safari era. It has five spacious rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a boma area with camp fire, perfect for enjoying evening drinks around the fire, or warming you up with your coffee before the morning game drive. The camp can get very hot in summer and thankfully it has a beautiful pool and outdoor patio area with adjoining bar and lounge where guests can relax and siesta during the midday heat between the two daily game drives.

Xanatseni has a team of staff living on the premises that will cater for your every need. The camp boasts comfortable, contemporary interior decor throughout. The lookout tower at the entrance offers panoramic views of the bush and overlooks the local watering hole (for those who missed out on the game drives). Game viewing at Xanatseni is conducted in an open vehicle and provides guests with the opportunities of seeing a myriad of wild animals including, but not limited to, the big 5 and a vast number of bird species.

Xanatseni has 5 luxurious rooms with mesmerizing views of the bush and camp. All rooms have modern finishes, a bathroom with a shower and bath, comfortable bedding and is equipped with a fan and air conditioner.

RATES INCLUDE
Two game drives per day, all meals and snacks, coffee and tea throughout the day, Wi-Fi in the main lodge and use of the gym.

RATES EXCLUDE
Drinks at the bar, laundry service, telephone calls and a conservation fee of R180 per adult.

Best times to travel:
Xanatseni Private Camp is an all year round safari destination. For the birding enthusiasts, the best time to visit the Klaserie is after the first rains. This period between November and April is when the migratory birds return.

Access:
There are daily flights between Johannesburg and Hoedspruit with South African Airways. Flights from Cape Town run on selected days. Private charter companies fly from Nelspruit and Johannesburg, and include Federal Air, Genair, Execujet and Bateleur. For those who have access to small aircrafts, Xanatseni has an airstrip capable of grounding up to twin prop size planes.
