The exclusive lodge, adorned with five-star amenities, caters to the needs of wheelchair users while maintaining a visually stunning aesthetic. With a wheelchair-accessible airport shuttle bus equipped with ramps, swivel seats, and specially designed game-viewing vehicles featuring slide-out seats, the lodge ensures that every guest can fully participate in the adventure.
Ximuwu offers an intimate retreat, featuring spacious suites located near the main lodge for both privacy and convenience. Each north-facing suite benefits from ample natural light and provides stunning views through floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooking the reserve’s waterholes for unparalleled wildlife sightings. Furthermore, these strategically placed suites ensure that every guest enjoys a unique connection with the natural surroundings, enhancing your luxury safari experience at Ximuwu. Individually decorated with its theme, the spacious suites feature comfortable queen-size or single beds and have beautiful bathrooms with lovely views. The bathrooms have l’Occitane amenities, a bath, a shower, and a toilet. An outdoor shower is also available. The suites are air-conditioned and offer tea and coffee facilities, additional fans, Wi-Fi access, a telephone, a self-programmable room safe, and access to a private deck.
Two of the lovely suites are wheelchair accessible and feature height-adjustable beds, bath lifts, and shower chairs. Cooling vests and heated seat covers are available on request.
The central lodge serves as a cosy hub, featuring indoor and outdoor dining areas, a breakfast room, a sophisticated bar, a snug lounge, and a sheltered patio. Adjacently, the sun deck and firepit near our 16-meter pool with a pool lift provide a perfect spot to soak in the scenic beauty, all accessible by ramps.
To ensure accessibility to all guests, the lodge also features a separate toilet in the main building with an electric door opener, an airport shuttle bus with a Braun-Abilty swivel chair, a wheelchair ramp, large sliding doors with fully recessed tracks open to the deck, sliding seats in both game viewers and all decks, and seating areas including the photo hides that are accessible.
The main lodge has 2 cosy fireplaces, an open fire pit overlooking the waterhole, and a wood-fired pizza oven on the outside deck. Guests can visit the gift shop, fitness centre, and on-site spa facility.
Guests with private air travel are welcome to fly directly to Ximuwu Airstrip.
