There are 2 ways to get to our lodge which is on Driefontein
road:
1. From the R11 (Naboomspruit road, turning left to DRIEFONTEIN, google maps choice, shorter root but more corrugated sand road, normal cars can drive easily, just slowly).
2. From the R33 (Vaalwater road, turning right to DRIEFONTEIN, longer in about 10km but smooth sand road after turning from road, easy drive).
Here are the instructions from the 2nd option (as google maps navigation system will provide the first option directions):
Highway N1 towards PRETORIA. - Follow the signs towards POLOKWANE- N1 Highway - Pass 1st Toll Gate (Rand 11) - Pass 2nd Toll Gate (Rand 50) - At 3rd Toll Gate (Rand 11) (KRANSKOP), take the exit to the left towards –MODIMOLLE (previous Nylstroom ) - After 50 meters at Stop (T-junction) turn left towards Nylstroom/Modimolle. - Continue on this road for ca. 30km (after 10km you will reach town of Modimolle. Continue straight through Modimolle) - Turn right at the sign DRIEFONTEIN onto sand road. - Drive 800m and turn right at next road (sand road). - Drive ca. 8km (you will see a small ZEBRAS CROSSING (staff gate) sign on your left– continue another 600meters around the corner until on your left you see the entrance to ZEBRAS CROSSING.
