For several years, France has been engaged in a series of reciprocal Seasons with its key international partners and the French Season in South Africa 2012 will be the first time that a sub-Saharan country is involved.

The French Season in South Africa is a festive period that presents a range of 100 different projects, performances and initiatives across the country.
The programme includes cultural and collaborative events in various fields, including theatre, dance, art, music, photography, cinema, street art, literature, performing arts, innovation, science and technology, education, business, tourism and sport.

Tours five cities (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Cape Town) in August offering some of the finest contemporary French films.

It as one of the most attractive and important gatherings on the South African music scene.

A dynamic 12-day celebration of contemporary dance taking place in Durban. The programme covers a variety of dance theatre presentations.
