Mazeppa Bay is one of the most beautiful parts of the Wild Coast and is particularly famous for its fishing. There is a big variety of game fish to be caught at Mazeppa and the biggest ever caught was a 791 kg Great White.
Here you will find some of the best beaches on the Transkei coastline, the most popular being First Beach, from where you can walk over a 100m-high suspension bridge to reach Mazeppa's renowned island. The other two main beaches lie to the south of the lagoon and is perfect for walks and collecting shells.
Still close enough, you can even drive to East London for the day, or go hiking a part of the Wild Coast Hiking Trail.
