Situated outside George, Victoria Bay is one of the smallest and most hidden beautiful bays on the Garden Route. Traveling along the N2 National Road it is 3km off the N2 and situated between George and Wilderness. Victoria Bay, a cove enclosed by cliffs.
The little resort comprises a number of cottages clustered around the water front. The gently-sloping beach makes bathing safe and big waves from far out give surfers a long ride.
Being a seaside village, Accommodation options are mainly in the form of guest houses and self catering apartments.
Vic Bay is another top-class surfing spot on the South Coast. Many competitions have been held here as a result of the high quality wave that Vic Bay produces.
The waves here too can get large, some of the most hectic waves on the coast will be found here.
There is however a little bit of a local presence. Give them the respect that they demand, and you will enjoy your surf. Try surfing the re-swell if you get too intimidated by them.
