Game drives will take between 2 and 3 hours depending on how much time is spent at each sighting. There will be a coffee stop on the morning drive and a sundowner stop on the evening drive.
It is advisable to bring warm clothes along for the drive even in the hot summer months. Your game ranger will provide ponchos and warm blankets and has a bird book and binoculars. Remember to bring your camera and video camera with you.
Garden Route Game Lodge adheres to optimal conservation practices to create a balanced eco-system. Guests are not allowed to drive through the park in their own vehicles.
The Garden Route Game Lodge is home to many permanent and migratory bird species which are best viewed on foot and identifiable by the game rangers. Visitors will enjoy the large variety of fynbos and other plant species on the reserve.
